Marcia Gay Harden
Marcia Gay Harden, born on the 14th of August, 1959, in La Jolla (California), was the third of five. Beverly Bushfield was the mother of her child, and Thad Harden who was serving in the military service, was the father. Family members moved often. In the time they resided in Greece her interest grew in theater and attended Athens performances. Harden began her college education in American universities in Europe before returning to the US for her final study at the University of Texas in 1983 followed by an MFA from NYU after which she started her acting career. Even though she had appeared in a movie from 1986 in the little-known The Imagemaker (1986), her first mainstream role which was in conjunction with TV movie work, was as the hot, sultry woman fatale in her role in the Coen Brothers' cleverly offbeat tribute to the gangster film, Miller's Crossing (1990). Harden received praise by critics for her stunning performance as Verna. Harden continued to work steadily as a supporting actor, portraying Ava Gardner in Sinatra (92), the television biopic from Frank Sinatra.
