Kristen Anne Bell is an American singer and actress born in 1980. Bell is an Michigan native, born and fostered by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). She was born in the town of Huntington Woods, Michigan with the family of a Polish mother and a father that is German, English Irish, Scottish and Irish. Kristen found her talent in the world of entertainment at a young age. Her audition was in 1992 and got a role on Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell aged 13 when her mom signed up for an agent, was cast on TV and newspaper advertisements. In addition, Bell started taking classes in acting privately. Bell appeared in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998, as an uncredited actress. Bell studied at Shrine Catholic High School where she participated in the music and drama club. The Wizard of Oz was staged by her high school, and she was awarded the part of Dorothy. After graduation Bell moved in New York City to attend prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, where she studied musical theater. Bell was a graduate in 2001, decided to leave her college studies in order to take on her role as Becky as Becky in Tom Sawyer. Her first film credit in Pootie Tang during 2001. The scene however, was trimmed and now Bell's only role is the end credits. Bell appeared alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson as well as in The Crucible Broadway production of The Crucible in 2002.
